National Wants Your Opinion

In the wake of stirring controversies surrounding the media’s use of confidential sources, SPJ would like to hear what’s on your mind.

Are confidential sources vital to your reporting? Does the public have a right to know who your sources are? All professional members are invited to answer these questions and more by visiting www.spj.org between now and March 17, 2006. All you need is your SPJ username and password to complete the survey. You may also go directly to the survey.

The findings of this study will be released in a report during Ethics in Journalism Week, April 24-28. All personal information will remain confidential. Data collected may be used by SPJ to determine future programming opportunities.
